Speech therapist profession needs to help people cope with speech disorders. I am going to tell about the job of a speach language pathologist. First I have read a lot about the profession of a speach language pathologist to understand what exactly this specialist does. I have made a conclusion that a speech language pathologist is a very difficult but useful profession. I think speech therapy is needed because there are a lot of children in the world who have some problems with fluent speech and they need help of knowledgeable specialist. In my opinion, speech therapy is especially important for children to give them an opportunity to communicate more effectively. Because if a kid cannot easily express their ideas and thoughts, they feel unconfident and shy. A kid suffers if he is not understood by others. As to adults, they, sometimes, also have some difficulties with fluent speech. And they should go through speech therapy as well to achieve a greater ability to use and understand language. Speech language pathologist must be a very qualified specialist, to treat children and adults. He has a big responsibility. Moreover this specialist has to get medical education. His duties include: communication with patients and evaluating their level of speech. He must also determine the extent of communication problems and create an individualized treatment for each patient. This specialist teaches patients how to make sounds and read correctely. These are only some main duties. Every day speech language pathologist has to keep accurate records about each patient. It can help him to control any changes in patient's condition and observe treatment progress. There are some personal qualities which speech language pathologist should has, such as : communicational skills. He must have an ability to communicate with people and listen to a patient's simptoms and problems to choose a suitable treatment. And a speech language pathologist needs to have close attention because some people achieve success slowly. It is necessary for this specialist to be sensitive to people's needs and desires. I decided to become a speech pathologist, because this profession allows me to be in contact with the world of childhood, to help the child to cope with the difficulties. I want to help peoples who have problems of speech.

One of these disabilities - a violation of speech. Due to speech therapy children can speak correctly, to write without errors and to read with expression.
The speech therapist has a very difficult job. Firstly, he has to find an approach to each child. Secondly, he has to examine the entire speech of the child to check his phonemic hearing, the presence of coherent speech and his ability to pronounce sounds correctly. Thirdly, the therapist must correct any speech disorders.
The speech pathologist is responsible work, which involves opalennye requirements. SLP must have higher pedagogical education;

I chose this department because I want to be like my mother. She is speech therapist too. When I was child, I was going to the kindergarten with my mother to her job. And it was amazing! Now I'm working with children and I really like it. I think that pedagogy is my right way (in Russia, Speech Therapy is pedagogical science). So, I will try to be a good Speech Therapist. I need to be communicative, kind and responsible. I think this is the most important abilities for my future profession.
